Mizkif Breaks His Silence On Assault Coverup Allegations
Mizkif has released a statement regarding his alleged involvement in covering up assault allegations. Mizkif was accused of downplaying and covering up assault allegations against one of his roommates and fellow OTK streamer CrazySlick. Mizkif recently took a hard stance against gambling on Twitch, attempting to organize a boycott along with some other popular streamers. This stance upset some gambling focused streamers, including Trainwrecks. The feud between Mizkif and Trainwrecks soon became personal, and Trainwrecks publicly accused Mizkif of encouraging others to blackmail victims of sexual harassment and assault in order to keep them quiet.
It was later revealed that this comment was in reference to Adrianah Lee, who posted a Twitlonger in 2021 accusing CrazySlick of sexually harassing her and touching her inappropriately while she was drunk at a party. This information becoming public and led fellow OTK member Asmongold to publicly denounce CrazySlick and threaten to have Mizkif removed from OTK if he didn't cut ties as well (via Dexerto.) In addition to that, Ice Poseidon released screenshots of messages between him and Mizkif from 2018 where Mizkif used both homophobic and racist slurs. All of this resulted in Mizkif stepping down from his duties as part of OTK, having a third party investigate the situation, and releasing a statement. Here's what he told fans.
Mizkif's statement
Mizkif posted a statement via Twitlonger, where he first confirmed that the missing CrazySlick had been found and that he would be moving out of the OTK house as soon as possible. Mizkif continued, explaining that shortly after Adrianah Lee made an accusation towards CrazySlick, he dowplayed the situation on a stream.
"Sexual harassment, regardless of degree, can never be considered 'small', and while my intention was to clarify a misleading chat message, I chose my words poorly and my response came off as downplaying what should never be downplayed," Mizkif wrote.
He then addressed his message with Ice Poseidon, stating, "I was a dumb, edgy guy who said a lot of stupid things to my friends to try and come off as funny and cool." Mizkif said that he can't change what he did in the past, but feels like he has grown as a person in the four years since. He then made a general apology and announced he would be stepping down from his OTK duties and taking a leave of absence.
In a follow-up Tweet, Mizkif clarified that when he referred to sexual harassment in his statement, he was talking specifically about the comments CrazySlick had made about the women who came out against him. He said that he also believes that CrazySlick sexually assaulted Adrianah.
