How To Change Your Marvel Snap Avatar

Between the comic books, movie universe, and wide variety of video games, Marvel is dominating the super hero market. This is no different when it comes to mobile titles. "Marvel Snap," a deck builder/card battler that released in late October 2022, has received similar fanfare. Even major news outlets like Bloomberg and Forbes have praised the new offering for its fast pace, accessibility, and restraint from leaning too far into a micro transaction-model.

"Marvel Snap" includes hundreds of cards, all of which feature different characters from the Marvel Universe. If you really want to stand apart from the other players, there are also a number of avatars you can choose to represent your account. Every time you begin a match, opposing players see your username next to your chosen avatar. If you want to change that avatar to a different Marvel character, there are a few steps you'll need to follow.

Changing your Marvel Snap avatar and collecting new ones

The default avatar in "Marvel Snap" is an image of a generic S.H.I.E.L.D. agent shrouded in shadow. This avatar will appear at the top-middle of the home screen. If you wish to switch out the generic image, simply click on it. Doing so will open up a new menu with a small list of additional avatars. You can click any other image on this screen, which will open up a prompt asking "Do you want to change your Avatar?" Clicking "Yes" will seal the deal.

Now, once you open up the avatar screen, you may not like any of the avatars included. Don't fret too much — you can collect more avatar images within the game. Some avatars are gained by completing the Season Rankings and Season Pass milestones. Others can be purchased. If you're looking to change your avatar, there are plenty of alternatives available to you. It just might take a little bit of time and/or money to take advantage of them.
