The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Collector's Edition - What's Included?

In recent memory, there are few games so highly anticipated as the sequel to "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." Unveiled in 2022, "Tears of the Kingdom" looks to provide meaningful updates from the original, like a modular vehicle system that feels eerily familiar, but it will stay true to the unique approach the original game took. As the days to release count down and more is revealed about the game, there seems to be no ceiling to the hype.

At the very end of the Nintendo Direct on February 8, which had already revealed returns to Nintendo's biggest dormant franchises, a new trailer featuring all-new footage for "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" was shown. Fans who stayed tuned after the trailer were teased with the release date, which was revealed as May 12 last year, as well as a special collector's edition.

Its contents are sure to catch the eye of eager "Tears of the Kingdom" players, but don't expect anything too ridiculous in this collector's edition. In fact, there are only five things included — the game itself, a SteelBook case, a poster depicting key art, a pin set, and an art book. Compared to the "Breath of the Wild" Master Edition, which cost the same and came with a bust of the Master Sword and a Switch carry case, some fans don't think it's worth the price of $130. Nevertheless, it's a must-have for diehard "Zelda" fans.

What does The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Collector's Edition include?

The "Tears of the Kingdom" Collector's Edition comes with five items included, six if one counts the display case it ships in. The normal game is included, of course, alongside a unique SteelBook case that features artwork from the game. There is also an Art Book included, as well as a high-res poster with the game's cover art on it. Finally, a set of pins will be included, too, each of which appears to be designed after some kind of enemy, possibly a successor to the Divine Beasts from the first game.

  • "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom," a physical copy for the Nintendo Switch
  • A SteelBook game case, which depicts ancient Hyrulian artwork of what appears to be a Divine Beast-like entity
  • Art Book for "Tears of the Kingdom," softcover edition of an unknown length that delves into the designs and art of the game
  • ICONART Poster, which features the full, extended artwork from the game's cover, in which Link can be seen peering over the vast Hyrule below
  • Four-piece Pin set, likely depicting the game's version of the Divine Beasts

Alongside the Collector's Edition, a new Link Amiibo was announced, as well as new functionality for "Zelda" Amiibos planned for the game. Unfortunately, this Amiibo will not be included in the Collector's Edition for "Tears of the Kingdom,"

and must be purchased separately. Hopefully, this one doesn't cause an uproar, like the "Skyward Sword" Amiibo that only granted players much-needed transport options behind a paywall.
