The Bizarre Way Resident Evil 4 Remake Fans Are Reimagining Ashley

As critics and everyday gamers alike are enjoying the novelty of "Resident Evil 4 Remake," some fans are getting creative with how they imagine Ashley Graham through their artwork. Though the President's daughter and frequent kidnapping victim might have been described as mouse-like by gamers before, this is the first time the mainstream has decided to conceptualize Ashley as an actual mouse — AKA Mouseley. Thanks to a Twitter post shared on March 24, 2023, with over 3 million views and tens of thousands of engagements, the trend of designing Ashley as a tiny little rodent has taken off.

Clearly a cheesy take on an otherwise horror-focused title, the reimagining of Ashley as a mouse is giggle-inducing for sure. In the original viral Twitter post, the creator wrote, "What if you booted up 'Resident Evil 4 Remake' and Ashley was just a tiny mouse, what would you do." The rest isn't up to the imagination, as the fan created a humorous comic featuring a kitschy, cartoonish Mouseley with quotes including "help me Leon" and "I crave cheese Leon." As the meme creator commented on the popular post, "I saw a joke drawing that depicted Ashley with big ears and this came to my mind, I never got past the boulder chase scene as a kid." Things escalated as other "RE4 Remake" fans took the inspiration and ran with it.

Resident Evil 4 Remake fans love Mouseley

The original squeaky sensation that captured the hearts of "Resident Evil 4 Remake" fans wasn't the end of Ashley's mouse journey. The creator of the main meme quickly took a commission of Mouseley with a beer on her head with the caption, "it's on the mouse!" Another fan hopped on the pun trend with a comic of (human) Leon holding Mouseley captioned, "cheesed to meet yah!" Seeing yet another creation involving Mouseley nestled in Leon's jacket pocket is equally funny. There have even been animations of Mouseley made, emphasizing her obsession with cheese.

Though a bulk of the Mouseley designs were meme-like and hilarious, some had a hint of the signature horror vibe of "Resident Evil 4 Remake," like a creation where Mouseley looks quite rabid with buggy eyes, drool, bared claws, and for some reason, a full head of hair. The variety doesn't end there — one gamer even created a spot-on cosplay of Mouseley while another incorporated the tiny gal into the "Paper Mario" art style. Out of all the endless Mouseley creations, there's no shortage of laughs and entertainment for "Resident Evil 4 Remake" fans.
