Who doesn't like video game discounts? Amazon has one right now that's definitely worth a look — especially with both the Game Awards and the Gamer's Choice Awards coming up this week. It's Marvel's Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4, and right now, Amazon is selling it for $40.

Spider-Man, which released back in September of this year, is nominated for a whole bunch of awards, and for good reason. Insomniac Games managed to create one of the most immersive superhero action games perhaps ever, combining a truly moving and relatable story with interesting combat and loads of Spidey gadgets.

And oh, the traversal! What Insomniac Games did in Sunset Overdrive was great, but Spider-Man takes it to a whole other level. Swinging around the city feels fantastic. A few hours in, it becomes second nature, and you're soon breezing over treetops and zipping between skyscrapers effortlessly.

You don't have to take our word for it, though. Jonathan Dornbush at IGN said that, "Insomniac has delivered a Spider-Man story that both surprised me and delighted me, coupled with gameplay that made me feel like Spider-Man nearly every step of the way." And Edmond Tran of GameSpot added that, "There have been open-world Spider-Man games before, but none so riveting and full of personality, none that explore and do justice to this many facets of the universe."

Insomniac Games truly did right by the series with its Spider-Man game, which leaves us looking forward to whatever the studio works on next. In the meantime, though, there's always Sunset Overdrive, which recently launched on PC. And the team also worked on the remake to one of its earlier classics in 2016's Ratchet & Clank.

There's no word yet on how long Spider-Man for PS4 will be sold at that discounted price. But anything can happen, including Amazon running out of stock. So if you want to take advantage of the deal, it's probably a good idea to move fast.
