Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Introduces Thinbloods

According to the official Bloodlines 2 website, Thinbloods are the Kindred's version of "street kids," possessing "little understanding of what they are or the rules of Kindred society." The majority of Thinbloods live a short, hard life, with only the most resilient and clever among them capable of climbing up the social ladder. Looked down upon by full-blood clan members, they often end up as grunts or runners for a greater power.

Players will start the game as a Thinblood, one of many new vampires made as part of the recent Mass Embrace. Thinbloods have three disciplines to choose from: Chiropteran, Mentalism, and Nebulation. Chiropterans cultivate their strong bat-affinity, allowing them to float through the air and summon bat swarms. With Mentalism, Thinbloods unlock telekinesis, manipulating objects and people from a distance. Nebulation draws from the Thinblood's mist affinity, making it easier to navigate tricky situations.

Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 releases in Q1 2020. Set in Seattle, the story follows one of the city's few free agents as they navigate the ongoing faction war for control of the local blood trade. "Meet the old blood founders present since the city's birth and the new blood steering the tech money which is rapidly redefining the city," says the Bloodlines 2 website. "Everyone has hidden agendas — so choose your allies wisely."

Bloodlines 2 is the sequel to 2004's Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines. Described by critics as a "flawed masterpiece," Bloodlines has developed a cult following over the years, with reviewers continuing to praise its narrative and impressive degree of player agency.
