Warframe's Jovian Concord Update Comes To PC Next Week

"Something sinister is stirring in the Gas City." So begins the announcement for The Jovian Concord, a massive update coming to Warframe, Digital Extremes' free-to-play sci-fi shooter. "Rumors are circulating of an alliance between Alad V and our most feared enemy — the Sentients. Infiltrate the remastered Corpus Gas City on Jupiter, drive your blade through Amalgam horrors, unlock the power of the Wisp Warframe, and shine a light on this sinister Corpus plot."

The Jovian Concord is packed with new content, including the redesigned Gas City of Jupiter. Featuring remastered graphics, tilesets, and audio design, players can uncover clues amidst massive reactors and waves of gas harvesters. There are also new Captura scenes to unlock.

The Amalgams, a new enemy type, will debut in the update. "You'll stand toe-to-toe against the Amalgams — nightmarish Corpus and Sentient hybrid beings," warns Digital Extremes. "Is this a partnership or a parasitic conjuration?"

Amalgams will play a starring role in the new game mode: Disruption. Set on Ganymede, the largest moon in the solar system, you must activate conduits using keys collected from felled Amalgams. Once activated, you must protect the conduits from Demolysts trying to destroy them. Disruption will be introduced as part of a Clan Operation and will offer the chance to earn new weapons and mods.

Wisp, Summoner of the Ethereal, headlines the update as the 40th Warframe. "Float through the halls of the Gas City as the unseen helping hand. Her light-based abilities provide support to allies, while her unique passive makes her invisible in the air," describes the announcement. Between summoning motes to heal allies and stun enemies, blinking through spectral projections, and opening a portal to the sun, Wisp makes for a formidable combatant.

The Jovian Concord arrives on PC next week, with a console release to follow. Beyond the new content, the update will include several new weapons, mods, and cosmetics, including Wisp's signature Primary Weapon, the lightning slinging Fulmin.
