Fire Emblem: Three Houses - Where Are The Captain's Quarters?

Early in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, you'll receive a quest called "Leading the Charge!" As it turns out, Byleth's dad, Jeralt, has misplaced his Tactics Primer. You need to find it. That's not just Byleth being a good son or daughter; "Leading the Charge!" is a mandatory quest that must be completed in order to move on, and it also unlocks Battalions, which give you stat bonuses and unlock special abilities during battle. You'll want to use them.

However, unlike most of Garreg Mach Monastery's quests, "Leading the Charge!" doesn't have a map marker that tells you where to go next. The game simply tells you that the Tactics Primer can be found in the Captain's Quarters. It doesn't tell you where that is. Early in the game, when you're still learning your way around the monastery, that can be quite annoying. Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a long game already; it doesn't need that kind of padding.

Thankfully, the Captain's Quarters and Tactics Primer aren't too hard to find as long as you know where to look. First, head to the monastery's second floor via the staircase in the Entrance Hall, or warp there via the map (hit "R," then select the second floor). Turn and face the main hallway, then start walking forward. The first room on your left will be the Captain's Quarters. You'll know if you're in the right place because there should be a glowing blue marker on the floor. That's the Tactics Primer. Pick it up, finish the quest, and get on with your adventure.
