Darth Vader Teased In Latest Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order Trailer

Electronic Arts has released a new trailer for Star Wars: Jedi – Fallen Order, giving fans a fresh look at protagonist Cal Kestis's journey, including a possible cameo from Darth Vader.

The iconic villain does not actually appear in the trailer; however, some subtle elements point to his possible inclusion in the game. At the 0:48 mark, you can hear Vader's telltale breathing as Cal opens a door in what looks like an ancient temple. Further, you can hear a slower, piano version of Vader's Imperial Theme playing throughout the video. Though not direct confirmations of Vader's involvement, EA Star Wars clearly wants you to live in fear of the grisly fate that could await around the next corner.

Darth Vader would not be out of place in the Star Wars: Jedi – Fallen Order narrative. Cal, a former Jedi padawan, managed to survive the slaughter of Emperor Palpatine's Order 66. Hiding his powers, he kept his head down for several years, evading the Empire's notice. When he uses his abilities to save a friend, Cal is forced to go on the run, hooking up with a ragtag group of allies working to undermine their common enemy.

The Empire sends the Second Sister to hunt down Cal. A member of the Inquisitorius, the Second Sister was trained by Vader himself. Whatever power is hidden within the remnants of the ancient civilization Cal and company are pursuing, it seems to have captured more than just the attention of the rebels. As the Second Sister says in the trailer, Cal is "searching for something. Something very precious to the Empire." If this statement proves true, it makes sense that Vader might take a more direct role in such a crucial mission.
