Terry Bogard's Smash Debut Is Being Upstaged By His Kirby Copy
Today was supposed to be Terry Bogard's day. The legendary SNK character joined the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster this morning, and brought a King of Fighters Stadium stage and 50 music tracks with him. Unfortunately, another character appears to have stolen the spotlight: Kirby. More specifically, Kirby as Terry.
Just about every Smash player who's laid eyes on Kirby's Terry transformation has fallen in love.

It's completely understandable. Look at how adorable Kirby is as a Terry Bogard cosplayer! He's got the blonde hair (complete with the ponytail). He's rocking that Fatal Fury hat. He's even got those little gloves on. This isn't a new thing for Kirby, by any stretch. He's gone decades absorbing the powers of others, taking on some of their characteristics in the process. But we can't recall a time when so many Smash fans put a new character on the back burner to rave about how Kirby looks copying them.
We imagine a whole lot of people in the Smash community are going to load up Terry vs. Kirby matches, just so they can see the transformation for themselves. And the Kirby mains out there? They'll probably jump online and pray that their opponents choose Terry. Today could be very weird in the world of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

As for Terry Bogard, the new character who showed up in Smash Ultimate today, there's a lot to love about this character's addition. As we stated, Terry comes from the world of SNK, and is best known for being the main character in the Fatal Fury series. He also has some fighting game experience, having appeared in every King of Fighters title.
The King of Fighters Stadium looks awesome (and has no ledges, as it turns out). And the huge assortment of music tracks that comes with the Terry pack should please any SNK fan. We're sure Terry will get some more love in the days and weeks to come, as the infatuation with Terry Kirby dies down. And then we'll start the countdown for the next fighter we'll see in the game. Who will it be?
