Red Dead Redemption 2 Modders Add Zombies
Are you dying for some zombie action in Red Dead Redemption 2? We've not received official word from Rockstar that an Undead Nightmare successor will make its way into the sequel. Fortunately, though, the game is out now on PC, which means modders can simply do the work themselves.
Here's what many of you have been wanting: zombies in Red Dead Redemption 2. It's truly a sight to behold.
As you can see, there's not a lot of rhyme or reason to this one at the moment. We don't know why exactly zombies are starting to pop up in the small cities and towns found in Red Dead 2. All we know is they're present, they're attacking the townsfolk in mobs, and some of them can kill you in one fatal blow should they get close enough. We have to say, it looks mighty satisfying to put down a bunch of zombies, one after the other. And we particularly like the section of the video where Arthur is almost standing back to back with a Sheriff's Deputy, as both try to thin the zombie horde attacking the town.
Normally Arthur might be in a bit of trouble for shooting folks in Red Dead Redemption 2. Clearly, though, the Deputy realizes these aren't normal times. Zombies aren't your run-of-the-mill men and women. So he and Arthur — for a short time, anyway — become unlikely allies. It's pretty darn cool (until the Deputy bites it, anyway).
This mod isn't out for public consumption yet, and we're not quite sure when you'll be able to get your hands on it. It's definitely a project you'll want to keep your eyes on, however; especially if you're someone who is lamenting the fact that Rockstar doesn't seem interested in single-player Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC. We may never get a proper follow-up to Undead Nightmare. But now that Red Dead 2 is on PC, we'll at least get a bunch of mods like this one.
