Final Fantasy 7 Remake Demo May Have A Release Date
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is, without a doubt, one of the most highly anticipated titles of 2020. But if you were hoping to jump in a bit early and get a feel for the game before its release, we might have some bad news for you.
The folks over at GameSpot have a rundown of everything you can expect in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and one section of the article covers the demo. According to that site, the demo is scheduled to launch day and date with Final Fantasy 7 Remake itself — on March 3, 2020. If that holds true, it means there will be no early taste of Remake for those who are still on the fence. You'll have to wait to play (what is presumably a small slice of the game) until everyone else does.
The reason we say we "might" have some bad news is because, honestly, we can't say for certain how accurate this information is. We've not seen an official announcement about the demo or a release date for it, and it's entirely possible someone simply mixed up the full game's release date with that of the demo. GameSpot appears to be the only outlet reporting this right now, and the information was shared not in its own story, but in a larger article about what to expect in Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
Needless to say, we're going to hold out for an official statement from Square Enix before we say with certainty that the demo isn't coming before the full launch.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a little less than two months away, so we expect we'll be hearing about the demo at some point in the very near future. Once we do — and once we know for sure when we'll be able to get our hands on a preview of the title — we'll be sure to let you know.
