How To Collect And Use Cash In Call Of Duty: Warzone

As a battle royale game, Call of Duty: Warzone features several interesting new wrinkles to the way we approach playing a Call of Duty title. One of the cool features of Warzone is the use of Cash within the various game modes. How Cash is collected and used will depend on which mode you're playing, so let's take a look at how to get it and some of its uses.

While Cash is available in both modes of play, Battle Royale and Plunder, it'll be most integral in the latter. According to Activision, Plunder will see players fighting to see who can collect the most Cash during the course of a match, "by looting across the map, taking down enemies to steal their Cash, and completing in-match Contracts." Contracts are specific tasks that can be activated by squads during play. Completing these certain objectives will reward players with either Cash or other valuable gear and loot. The ability to earn in-game currency in several different ways should come as a welcome feature for gamers who are burned out on games that rely on numerous microtransactions or loot boxes.

Okay, so now you know how Cash can be found in-game, but the question remains: what the heck can it be used for? That's where the game's many Buy Stations come into play. At Buy Stations, which are scattered throughout the game's maps, players can snag different items, including Redeploy Tokens, which will allow you to resurrect a fallen teammate and get them back into the fray.

During Plunder mode, Buy Stations will contain an extra purchasable item called the Cash Deposit Balloon. You can use these to send some of your hard-earned moolah up into the air and away from any overzealous competitors who might be hoping to kill you and relieve you of your wares. That's a pretty ingenious and very Call of Duty-appropriate method of hanging onto your Cash.
