Blizzard Teases Possible Gadgetzan Expansion For Hearthstone

The official Hearthstone Twitter account has posed an image of a fake postcard that highlights the goblin outpost of Gadgetzan from the World of Warcraft. This could be a tease for a possible expansion coming to the popular online trading card game, especially with BlizzCon 2016 just a week away.

According to IGN, a Reddit user named BllHicksBoiii found a domain name called gagdetzan.com, which they believe to have been claimed by Blizzard entertainment the same way the company claimed karazhan.com before the One Night in Karazhan adventure was released.

A Gadgetzan set could mean the return of more robots and goblin-engineered inventions, all of which look haphazardly slapped together in the game. Couple it with some explosive cards and maybe even a mechanic that works off goblin greed or the infamous Gadgetzan Auction House, and you have a pretty unique set on your hands.

Upon closer inspection of the postcard, you can read tiny text that wraps around the image and says, "The word "safe" is not meant to constitute a binding agreement and does not imply safety, security, protection, preservation, peace of mind, confidence, reliability, dependability or trustworthiness. Mayor Noggenfogger is not responsible for any accidents, surgeries, thoughtsteals, mind visions, hellfires, vanishes, whirlwinds, revenges, lightbombs, elemental destructions, excavated evils, consecrations, holy novas, flamestrikes, demonwraths, starfalls, shadowflames, swipes, explosive traps, arcane explosions, brawls, DOOM!s, lightning storms, blizzards, twisting nethers and other Acts of Old Gods, magical mayhem or disfigurement that may ensue. No beasts, demons, dragons, mechs, murlocs, pirates or totems were harmed, abused, disfigured, dismembered, declawed, detailed, decomissioned, exorcised, disarmed or toppled in the creation of this postcard. We take no responsibility on any claims made on this (souvenir?) of propaganda, or any predictions, suppositions, predictions, prophecies, harbingers, omens, portents, or conclusions that may arise."

Here's hoping we'll see an announcement at BlizzCon 2016. Until then, we're going to dream up possible deck ideas and get into some Tavern Brawls while trying to wrap our heads around the Warcraft movie.
