Titanfall 2's Live Action Trailer Goes Bang Bang

The Titanfall 2: Become One trailer has arrived, just a few days ahead of the game's October 28 release. The trailer's action is set to a new version of the classic song "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)," written by Sonny Bono and first sung by Cher, with a decidedly more combat-heavy feel. This version of the moody tune, performed by the Australian vocalist Grace, helps accentuate the gunplay and incredible mech-centric fighting in the live-action trailer, with lyrics like "Bang bang, their kill counts rise. Bang bang, their enemies die."

Respawn Entertainment seems to be highlighting the partnership between a pilot and his Titan, perhaps to promote the single-player campaign and the narrative that surrounds the player character named Jack Cooper and his Titan, BT-7274. According to the Verge, Respawn "looked at a number of buddy cop movies from the 1980s—think Lethal Weapon or Beverly Hills Cop." If that's the case, then we're definitely looking forward to BT's companionship when Titanfall 2 drops for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Check out the trailer above and look forward to making a new friend in BT. There's a fair amount of hype for Titanfall 2, so let's just hope that the excitement for this game doesn't lead to disappointment.
