New Pokemon Sun And Moon Trailer Reveals The Final Starter Evolutions
The latest trailer for Pokemon Sun and Moon has debuted, giving us an official look at the final starter evolutions, a reveal of all the Guardian Pokemon, and a peek at the return of legendary Pokemon trainers Red and Blue.
The Official Pokemon Channel uploaded the trailer, which shows us Decidueye, Incineroar, and Primarina, as well as the final evolutions for Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio. We're given a look at their signature moves in battle, with Decidueye's Spirit Shackle preventing opponents from switching out, Incineroar's Darkest Lariat ignoring opponent stat changes, and Primarina's Sparkling Aria healing the burns of any target it hits.
The trailer also reveals the Alola region's Guardian Pokemon, all of which seem to do battle in temples. There's Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu, Tapu Fini, and Tapu Koko. All of the Guardian Pokemon come equipped with a powerful Z-Move that summons a gigantic body out of the ground, for which they act as the head. Considering the fact that all of the Tapu Pokemon look like floating masks, this kind of makes sense.
Some of the other features of Pokemon Sun and Moon teased in the trailer include the Alolan version of Persian, a new Pokemon called Cosmog, and the beginnings of the Alolan Pokemon League. We also see a bit of the Battle Tree, where players can team up with legendary Pokemon Trainers to fight atop a massive tree.
At the tail end of the trailer is a peek at the return of Pokemon series legends Red and Blue, the original Pokemon Trainers. We see the player character talking to these two champs and we find that Red is as silent as ever. Some things never change.
It won't be long now until Pokemon Sun and Moon's Nintendo 3DS release arrives on November 18. Until then, you can brush up on your Pokemon-catching skills via Pokemon Go.
