Nintendo-Based Experiences Coming To Universal Studios Parks
Nintendo and Universal Studios are officially teaming up to bring Nintendo-themed areas and experiences to the parks.
According to Destructoid, the two companies are working together to bring Nintendo-centric experiences to all three of the Universal Studios parks in Japan, Orlando, and Hollywood, a rollout that's set to happen over the next few years. In the video above, Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo and Mark Woodbury from Universal Creative explain their plans, with Miyamoto saying, "We are working very hard to create attractions that can be equally enjoyable to anybody regardless of age." We're hoping this means that they're going to put in a Mario Kart track, complete with speed boost and item boxes.
There's no specific timeline that lets us know when these Nintendo areas will be added, but we can expect to see more information about the partnership in the coming months. Until then, we can look forward to more news about the Nintendo Switch and dream about taking it to the parks with us.
