Fourth Valkyria Chronicles Is Coming To The West With A New Name
Valkyria Revolution, the fourth title in the Valkyria Chronicles series, will launch in the West on three platforms.
Allegra Frank of IGN reports Sega has scheduled a spring 2017 release for the game, which is set to launch on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox One. While both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will be released on physical discs, the Vita version will only be available as a digital purchase.
This next chapter in the Valkyria Chronicles series is meant to be more action-oriented, rather than the turn-based, tactical gameplay of previous titles. The departure from the strategic combat of the other games might put off older fans, but the action looks solid in the one-hour demo video above. The game won't be released for a while, but maybe the new formula will make it one of the best games of 2017.
