NieR: Automata Demo Available Now On PlayStation Store

Square Enix has released a new demo for NieR: Automata on the PlayStation Store, along with a trailer showing off the iconic crossover weapons in the game.

Dan Seto, SEJ West Community Manager at Square Enix, posted to the PlayStation Blog, announcing that the demo for the new action-RPG can now be downloaded. You can play as the android named 2B in an abandoned factory, armed with both short and long-range weapons, taking out swaths of bad guys as you hunt down an enemy weapon.

Along with the demo, Seto also unveiled a trailer for Automata that features iconic weapons like Noctis' Engine Blade from Final Fantasy XV and the Cypress Stick from Dragon Quest. The crossovers should be appealing to Square Enix fans who want to wield some familiar instruments of death.

Interested parties can also now pre-order the Day One Edition of the game on the PlayStation Store in order to get six bonus DLC items, three exclusive pre-order DLC items, and a static theme for their PlayStation 4.

Check out the demo ahead of NieR: Automata's Mar. 7 2017 release on the PC and PlayStation 4. Let's see if its slick action is good enough to make it one of the best games of 2017.
