Double Dragon 4 To Launch In 2017

Arc System Works has announced that it will release Double Dragon 4 in 2017 in honor of the 30th anniversary of the original game's arcade launch.

Owen S. Good of Polygon reported that Arc System Works officially launched the Double Dragon 4 website and has set its release date for Jan. 20, 2017. The sidescrolling beat 'em up will launch on the PlayStation and on PC via Steam, just 20 years after the last Double Dragon sequel from 1990, Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone.

Original development team members like producer Takaomi Kaneko, director Yoshihisa Kishimoto, character designer Koji Ogata, composer Kazunaka Yamane, and programmer Kei Oyama are returning to work on the game. This should make it so that fans of the original titles can look forward to the same kind of quality they experienced in the past.
