Injustice 2's Story Revealed In New Trailer

NetherRealm Studios has teased the story in Injustice 2, one of our most anticipated games of 2017, with a trailer narrated by the game's Big Bad, Braniac.

Dominic Ciancolo, Cinematic Director at NetherRealm, posted the trailer to the PlayStation Blog, showing off the game's new characters as well as a bit of the story. According to him, Superman's regime is gone, but the problems of the world still remain. A new group called The Society has popped up and many of Supe's old buddies are still at large. Former alliances are broken and friends and family turn on each other, as we can see in the trailer when Batman ends up fighting his son, Damian Wayne.

Throughout the whole thing, we hear Brainiac describing all of the clashes and how lines need to be redrawn, forcing friend against friend again. We're interested in seeing how this new villain will provide more challenges for Batman and newcomers like Supergirl and Blue Beetle.

Expect to see all of the new DC characters duke it out when Injustice 2 drops on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 16.
