The Pokemon Bank Is Now Compatible With Sun & Moon

The Pokemon Bank can now be used with Pokemon Sun & Moon, some of the best titles on the 3DS, allowing for the transfer of Pokemon to and from the games.

A page on the official Pokemon Sun & Moon website runs through the details of the update to the Pokemon Bank, which will now allow subscribers to transfer Pokemon they've caught in the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console versions of Pokemon Red, Pokemon Blue, and Pokemon Yellow to either Sun or Moon. The same is true of Pokemon that have been caught in titles like Pokemon Omega Ruby, Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, Pokemon X, and Pokemon Y.

Along with the ability to stuff as many Pokemon as you can into a single game, the new update will also give subscribers a gift in the form of the Mewnium Z crystal. As the name suggests, this Z-Crystal is for use with Mew and can be claimed through the Mystery Gift feature, only in Pokemon Sun or Moon. You'll have until Oct. 2 to claim your Mewnium Z, but it's probably better to grab it sooner rather than later.

You can subscribe to the Pokemon Bank service for an annual fee of $5, which seems like a fair deal for all that Pokemon storage.
