Many PewDiePie fans woke up to the news that the popular streamer was trending on Twitter and immediately assumed the worst. However, the YouTuber's recent Twitter popularity actually came from people reacting to a wholesome clip making the rounds that features PewDiePie and his wife, Marzia.
In the clip, fans saw PewDiePie clean his home by vacuuming a hallway carpet. This fairly simple, domestic task was made a bit more comedic by the fact that Marzia was standing on top of her husband's feet while he did it. PewDiePie and Marzia giggled a bit through the video as they continued their antics.
Fans of PewDiePie and Marzia took to social media to share their positive feelings about the couple and their relationship. One user called the pair "love birds” and mentioned that the scene was "amazing" to see. Another fan said that "once you get a relationship like this, [it's] just pure happiness from then on." There were also plenty of comments that expressed users' wishes for a relationship that's just as tooth-achingly sweet. One fan felt out that PewDiePie's actions in the clip showed his humility and gave people more of a reason to support the YouTuber.
There were also some more joking comments that brought a certain "conspiracy theory" to light. User @monterrang mentioned that the video had to be "fake" because PewDiePie "has no legs." Another user mentioned the popular theory, saying, "The only reason they gotta do this is because Marzia has to move his fake legs for him." This theory was inspired by a 2018 meme that was made popular after PewDiePie joked about having no legs.
Not everyone was impressed though. One user, verycooldude, tweeted that the scene "ain't cute" and that "she's in his way." To be fair, this user also claims to love "love trolling/arguing with random people" in their Twitter bio, so it's hard to tell whether or not they truly disliked the romantic display. Overall, it seemed as though there were very few negative responses amidst the sea of support for PewDiePie and Marzia's vacuum technique.
Between his alleged "shadowban" from YouTube and the sudden removal of his latest diss track, the content creator has had a rough go of things in the public eye. Even PewDiePie's financial decisions for his business came under fire from tax experts. For PewDiePie's fans, it appears that this bit of positive energy came as a breath of fresh air.
