Why Fans Are Going Crazy Over This Nickelodeon Game
If you're a child of the '90s, chances are good that much of your youthful free time was devoted to at least one of the following: Nickelodeon and video games. In fact, a large number of people would probably raise a hand to both. So what happens when you combine the two? A '90s kid's dream come true?
It's easy to see why the internet is losing it over the announcement of "Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl." The trailer for the new game dropped today, and not only is it bringing some of the most memorable stars from '90s Nick cartoons into a battle reminiscent of "Super Smash Bros.," but it's crossing the generational gap by adding in some more modern characters as well. Even the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (who have become part of Nickelodeon's stable of characters) are joining the fray.
After showing off an impressive roster of fighters from shows like "Loud House," "SpongeBob SquarePants," "Ren & Stimpy," and more, the trailer teases that "many more surprises" are on the way. Indeed, it should be exciting to see what those surprises are and how many characters you or your children will recognize. And if you're excited to get your hands on this title, you are not alone.

Having an all-star brawler with fighters from Nickelodeon's past and present sounds like a natural moneymaker. As one viewer in the comments pointed out, the appearance of characters like Zim and Danny Phantom makes some people just want to open their wallet.
All throughout the comments, it seems as though fans are flipping out over the prospect of being able to play as their favorite Nick star. "SQUIDWARD MAINS RISE UP," is how one gamer excitedly called forth fellow Squidward fans. Others listed off several characters they wanted in "Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl," including CatDog, Timmy from "The Fairly OddParents," and Jenny from "My Life as a Teenage Robot." One user proclaimed, "If Hugh Neutron isn't playable I'll be very disappointed."
Not only does this game appear to be, as one user puts it, excellent "Fan Service," but it's inspiring people in the community to come up with crossover ideas they never would have imagined. Gamers are chomping at the bit to see what other fighters, features, musical tracks, and deep cut references will be packed into the game.
