Star Wars Battlefront 2 Trailer Leaks Early
An ad for Electronic Arts and DICE's Star Wars Battlefront 2 briefly appeared online last night (April 11). While the video is hard now (you can thank EA's lawyers for that), there's a lot of information packed into the 30-second trailer, which makes its official debut this weekend at the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Florida.
In essence, it looks like DICE made a list of the features that fans want in the next Battlefront game and then provided them. The video shows a few glimpses of a single-player campaign, intriguingly told from the point-of-view of an Imperial officer, although sites like Glixel speculate that the single-player story could be a series of vignettes a la Battlefield 1, complete with a rotating roster of main characters.
Additionally, characters from all three Star Wars eras appear, including Darth Maul, Rey, and Kylo Ren. You'll also be able to pick up characters from this December's The Last Jedi as pre-order bonuses. There are space battles and, of course, the signature ground-based firefights return. And yes, they look even better than they did last time.
More information should arrive April 15 when the "The Galaxywide Premiere of Star Wars Battlefront II" panel takes place. Fans who aren't in Orlando can catch the event online at the Celebration's official website.
In the meantime, get hyped by catching up on all the latest news about Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which is shaping up to be even better than you think.
