Emiru's Latest Move Has Fans Over The Moon
There were several Twitch streamers who blew up in 2021, and cosplayer and streamer Emiru was one of the more notable content creators who gained a massive amount of fans throughout the year. An announcement at the very start of 2022 had fans going wild as Emiru and others announced that she'd be joining gaming org One True King (OTK), which includes superstar streamers like Mizkif and Asmongold.
Formerly a member of Cloud9, Emiru's a popular "League of Legends" streamer and cosplayer whose positivity and dedication has led to an ever-growing fanbase. As Emiru explained in a 2021 interview with SVG, she's even had the design of a "League of Legends" character based on her — a pretty high honor for the long-time "League" fan.
In a press release from OTK, the org announced her arrival by saying that it was "proud to welcome famed cosplayer, TikToker, Twitch streamer, Kirby-enthusiast, rabbit queen, and gaming gremlin Emiru to the OTK family." As True King COO Tips Out hilariously explained, "[Emiru's] meteoric rise has proven what most of us already know: With the power of God and Anime, anything is possible." OTK co-founder Mizkif also welcomed her to the team, explaining that he's happy to see such a fast-growing streamer join the ranks.
Emiru's fans were beyond excited by the news when she took the announcement to Twitter.
Fans and fellow streamers were happy for Emiru
Emiru's announcement was quickly met with support from excited fans. More than one response referred to her as a queen, which could be due to the fact that she wore a literal crown in her announcement post. OTK seemed to agree with this assessment, also referring to her as a queen in its Twitter announcement. A number of fans also expressed their belief that OTK is better off with Emiru as a member.
More than a few streamers also chimed in with their excitement for Emiru, including OTK's own jschlatt. Fellow women in the streaming community were quick to show their support for Emiru as well, including Valkyrae, Pokimane, Alinity, and Leena Xu.
As for Emiru's former membership with Cloud9, some people are theorizing that her contract may have been bought out by OTK. Many fans have also pointed out that the move seemed like a better fit as her popularity continues to grow.
After signing with One True King, 2022 could already be shaping up to be a great year for Emiru. Considering the quality of the content she's already filmed with Mizkif, it looks like fans have some fun stuff to look forward to.
