Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes: What's The Best Axe?

"Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes" is the hack-and-slash successor to the critically-acclaimed "Fire Emblem: Three Houses," and the Musou game did almost as great with critics as the first. The second "Fire Emblem Warriors" title surprised audiences, as it flipped the original offering on its head, making Byleth a villain. However, there are plenty of similarities and features from the first entry that made their way into the "Warriors" take, such as Expeditions and the weapon system.

The tactical side of all "Fire Emblem" installments includes a weapon system with options like lances, swords, and axes. Despite the fact that gameplay is a bit different in "Three Hopes," the weapon system transferred over, and there's a variety of different choices you can equip your team with. Axes are one of strongest types, and different axes have different strengths. However, there are some that are considered superior for a variety of reasons.

The best Three Hopes axe for most situations

In general, the best axe for most units in "Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes" is the Brave Axe. It deals consistent damage to all types, making it the perfect, safe choice. But, if you're willing to take some risks, you might think some of the other axes in the game are better.

In terms of raw power, the Hauteclere takes the cake. However, because it's not easily available, it's not quite as good as the Brave Axe. The Devil Axe does just as much damage as the Hauteclere, but it also deals damage to the user. If you're trying to finish off an enemy, then it's a good option that's much easier to find and use. There's also the Tomahawk, which doesn't dish out nearly as much damage as some of the other axe options – however, it's incredibly versatile since it's ranged.

Certain units in the game also have specific axes that are best, such as Edelgard's Aymr. There are also a few others that are stronger if the correct unit uses it, such as Annette and the Crusher and Hilda and the Freikugel.
