Biggest Unanswered Questions After God Of War Ragnarok

War Ragnarok."
Kratos’ Journey
The end of “God of War 3” sees a wounded Kratos surviving his battle against the Greek pantheon, but in the follow-up, 2018’s “God of War,” he’s in the lands of Norse mythology. There wasn’t any explanation of how he got there, and “God of War Ragnarok” didn’t provide any answers to that mystery — and there may never be any answers.
Jörmungandr
Jörmungandr, the World Serpent, plays a key role in both 2018's "God of War" and "Ragnarok," but gamers get to see Atreus “birth” Jörmungandr by infusing a younger version of him with the soul of a giant. This young Jörmungandr is summoned to Ragnarok, beaten back by Thor, and presumably sent back in time to the previous game, but his exact journey is still unknown.
The Horn
In 2018's "God of War," an unknown character blew the horn that summons Jörmungandr, but the identity of this character is still yet unknown. On Twitter, creative director Cory Barlog was baffled by the interest in the mystery character, saying, "Keep the faith. One day I will be coherent enough to actually create the moment to answer this."
The Giants
In 2018’s “God of War,” Atreus and Kratos find the corpses of giants trapped in stone in Jotunheim, and in “Ragnarok,” the surviving giantess Angrboda tells Atreus that the giants hid their souls in magical stones to escape Odin’s fury. The question of what exactly happened to the giants still stands, and Atreus’ future search for survivors might reveal the answer.
The Rift
The driving force behind Odin’s actions in “Ragnarok” is the rift, a tear that Odin believes is "possibly the birthplace of reality," but very little is revealed about its true nature. The rift raises many questions regarding the origin of the “God of War” universe — for instance, what lies beyond it, and what does it mean for the future of the series?
