Emotional PewDiePie Announces His Dream Finally
Came True
By MARY OSBORNE
In 2019, PewDiePie announced at the end of a video that he intended to move to Japan, and after a trip to the country, he and his wife Marzia bought a house there and began making plans to move. However, life found a way of preventing that from happening for some time.
Now, PewDiePie and Marzia have officially made the trip across seas to live in Japan, and of course, PewDiePie had to make a video detailing the long journey, from getting their visas to settling in to their home, and the result was a surprisingly emotional clip. But what took the streamer so long to move when he'd already bought a house in Japan?
First, PewDiePie's house was broken into. He created a vlog about the robbery, showing cute images in order to distract himself from his own disappointment, explaining that in the course of a week, his home in the UK was flooded and his house in Japan was broken into, with all of its contents stolen.
In 2021, PewDiePie updated fans on his move again, explaining why he hadn't left for Japan just yet. He explained that Japan had closed its borders to everyone for a time, including people who were trying to move to the country and were going through the visa process.
Finally, with everything in order on May 9, 2022, the couple began the flight to Japan, but even as they were about to land, PewDiePie was nervous that they might not be accepted into the country. Thankfully, everything went smoothly, and as Marzia and PewDiePie rode to their new home with their pugs, PewDiePie took off his mask and sighed, "We did it."
