FORTNITE COULD LOOK COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SOON
By NICHOLAS WILSON
Epic Games released "Fortnite" way back in 2017, but it was a much different game than today’s since Fortnite started as a co-op tower defense game. In a bid to compete with titles such as “PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds,” Fortnite put together a battle-royale mode and since then has continued to make massive changes to the game.
Now, according to a Tweet by HYPEX, a credible “Fortnite” news source, Epic could be working on a first-person camera mode for the game. However, not everyone was convinced, with some pointing out that HYPEX’s screenshot used in its Tweet was from a video showcasing a glitch in the game from two years ago.
Skepticism aside, the idea of a first-person mode has received mixed opinions — some were elated, others were on the fence, and one, @zombie500000, argued that players looking for a first-person battle royale should try “Apex” instead. Regardless of the reactions, if Epic does decide to add it, it will likely come amidst the already massive "Fortnite" Chapter 3.
