Hidden Gems For the Nintendo Gamecube

“Cubivore: Survival of the Fittest” has players trying to reach the top of the food chain by eating other Cubivores and growing through a complex mutation system. While the game received mixed reviews, “Cubivore” has become one of the most difficult Gamecube games to find and has become quite popular among game collectors.
Ikaruga
The Japanese arcade shooter “Ikaruga” isn’t your typical “bullet hell” as it features a unique polarity-switching system where your ship can absorb the bullets depending on the current color mode. The ported 2003 version added several new game modes that allowed you to play with or against a friend, practice levels, and increase the difficulty with prototype mode.
Skies of Arcadia Legends
Initially developed for the Sega Dreamcast and then ported to the Gamecube in 2003, “Skies of Arcadia Legends” is a turn-based RPG that puts players in the role of sky pirates fighting against an oppressive empire. “Legends” isn’t just a reskin of its Dreamcast counterpart, as this version offered new elements and features to the game.
Chibi-Robo!
The 2005 platformer “Chibi-Robo!” is a fun and unique adventure game with players assuming the titular character as he assists his owners by solving problems and doing good deeds. “Chibi-Robo!” may sound simplistic, but its puzzle-solving elements and side quests make the game an enjoyable challenge for all ages.
Baten Kaitos
Although the 2003 RPG “Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean” was received well by critics, it went largely overlooked by Gamecube owners. The game’s unique elements that focus on strategy and puzzle-solving, along with its stunning visuals and acclaimed story, make “Baten Kaitos” a great addition to your library.
