MrBeast Gets Real About His Death
By NATHAN SIMMONS AND VICTORIA F
While fans may be used to his devil-may-care attitude in countless and popular survival videos, MrBeast’s well aware that the fun can't last forever. During a “Lex Fridman Podcast” appearance, MrBeast discussed the topic of death and revealed that, in the event of his passing, he’d attempt to remain “alive” through digital immortality.
MrBeast said he’d make enough videos to automatically post for years after his death, so it will feel like he never left. He explained, “If I knew I was gonna die of like, cancer or something [and] I had like three months to live, I would vlog every day. I would film so many videos, and then I would just schedule upload a video a week for like, the next five years, so it's like I'm still alive.”
Although MrBeast plans to outlive death, digitally, he confirmed that he's afraid of actually dying and desperately hopes someone invents a way to prevent or slow down aging. He quipped, “One of you smart people out there, figure it out. I'll keep you entertained, but I need you to figure out how to keep me alive! Give me 'til 200. That'll make me happy.”
