Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: The Easy Way To Get More Boxes For Your PC
By ETHAN ZACK
Just like every previous entry in the franchise, “Pokémon Scarlet” and “Violet” feature the PC box system, which allows players to store any captured Pokémon beyond the total of six they can have in their party. The PC is usually limited to eight boxes, but there’s actually a very easy way to expand the PC’s box capacity to the maximum, and it can be done quite early on as well.
For players that want that extra PC box space in “Pokémon Scarlet” or “Pokémon Violet,” it’s actually a process that doesn’t require a lot of caught creatures. As it happens, the box system doesn’t rely on players crossing a certain threshold of captured Pokémon, but rather, it checks to see how many of the available boxes are holding at least one Pokémon.
To expand past the starting eight PC boxes, players only need to catch eight additional creatures besides their starter and put one in each of the available boxes. Doing so will immediately unlock an additional eight boxes for a total of 16, and it can be done once more with 16 boxed Pokémon to push the maximum number of boxes to 32.
