The Best and Worst Ghostbusters Game Of All Time
By STEPHEN MICHAELS
Since the original movie hit theaters in 1984, "Ghostbusters" has been a beloved and iconic property spanning four films, two cartoons, and countless video games. Although the "Ghostbusters" video games have gotten varied responses over the years, one in particular is regarded as the series’ finest, while another is considered the series’ worst.
"Ghostbusters: The Video Game" ranks as the best "Ghostbusters" game on sites such as GameRant, The Gamer, and Den of Geek. Some fans even declare the 2009 game the true third movie in the series because of its strong plot. As the newest member of the ghost hunting crew, players enjoy great action, an entertaining story, and the voices of the original cast.
2016’s "Ghostbusters," launched on PS4 and Xbox One, was Metacritic's worst game of that year, and Polygon called it "a deplorable, cynical bit of licensed drivel." A tie-in to the 2016 film, the game had players take over when the rest of the team leaves to stop a ghost from assassinating the president. Sadly, the bland gameplay mostly copied other titles like "Diablo 3.”
