The Disturbing Scam Pokimane Is Warning About

Streamer Pokimane shared a horrifying experience she had recently, where she almost fell victim to a scam. Pokimane received an email from Neiwai, a clothing brand whose loungewear she enjoys, offering the streamer a PR package. Neiwai corresponded with Pokimane and created a lengthy presentation for her describing the fitting process.
Neiwai’s instructions asked that Pokimane photograph herself nude taking her own measurements and upload those photos for the team. Pokimane declined, saying, "No company is going to ask you to send you a photo of your yiddies." Pokimane then discovered their email addresses had been edited to appear official, but they were actually fake and from a Hotmail account.
Pokimane implored online creators, "Please take this as a precautionary tale to really do your due diligence with whoever you're working with online. Be careful what information you're sharing, especially if you're a smaller creator." Thankfully, Pokimane didn't fall for the scam and used her experience to help other online creators avoid similar schemes.
