The Nintendo Wii Game That Takes the Longest to Beat
By AHMAD AUSTIN JR.
When considering which Nintendo Wii game takes the longest to beat, a few classics might come to mind, such as "Monster Hunter Tri," "Xenoblade Chronicles," "Animal Crossing: City Folk," or "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess." The campaigns of all of these titles, however, are relatively brief experiences compared to another game.
Released on March 17, 2009 in North America, "Rune Factory: Frontier" serves as a direct sequel to 2007's "Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon," a “Harvest Moon” spin-off game. The game follows Raguna as he travels to the village of Trampoli to start a farm and search for Mist, the girl who saved his life in the previous entry.
According to HowLongToBeat, most players should expect to log around 90 hours for just the main story of "Rune Factory: Frontier,” but completionists should expect to spend over 130 hours. These numbers aren’t surprising, considering the game features in-depth farming, dungeon-crawling, and social mechanics reminiscent of the “Harvest Moon” games.
