The Pokémon Game That Takes The Shortest Time To Beat
By CORIN MJ BAE
While “Pokémon” games have never been particularly long adventures, some games have had more to offer than others, a fact that seldom goes unnoticed by fans. Although fans have surmised that the “shortest by far” mainline game comes within the same range of playtime as most other entries, here is the “Pokémon” game that is actually the shortest to beat.
If going by the user-submitted information collected by HowLongToBeat, the game with the shortest main story is actually “Pokémon Legends: Arceus,” with a median playtime of 24 hours and 15 minutes. If gamers compare the rushed playtimes, the “Let's Go” series comes in first with 15 hours and 43 minutes as opposed to the 18 hours and 33 minutes of “Arceus.”
“Pokémon Sword” and “Shield” fall in the middle with 16 hours and 46 minutes rushed. Conclusively, the games that are shortest to beat with rushed playtimes go from the “Let's Go” games, to “Sword” and “Shield,” then “Legends: Arceus.” If players estimate by a rigid definition of what a mainline “Pokémon” game is, “Sword” and “Shield” takes first place on both counts.
