The Truth About All of Link's Girlfriends
By CODY GRAVELLE
Zelda
Princess Ruto of the aquatic Zoras from “The Ocarina of Time” was so impressed by the young Link’s courage and prowess that she gifted him the Zora’s Sapphire. Link, accepting the stone, pledged himself to be her husband, but the hero vanished for seven years costing the pair the opportunity to be together as Ruto had her Sage duties to fulfill.
Saria
The kindhearted and well-liked Saria is Link’s childhood friend and later one of the Seven Sages in “The Ocarina of Time.” Saria is also infatuated and dedicated to Link and promises to look after him from the Sacred Realm, even after the hero spent his years in the Kokiri Forest, patently ignoring the fact that Saria might have feelings for him.
Ruto
Princess Ruto of the aquatic Zoras from “The Ocarina of Time” was so impressed by the young Link’s courage and prowess that she gifted him the Zora’s Sapphire. Rosa
When Link learns that the superstar pop singer Rosa from “Oracle of Seasons” has lost her ribbon he purchases her a new one so that he can go on a "date" with her while she unlocks various doors in Subrosia that Link otherwise couldn't get through. She then waits patiently for Link to arrive for another date while the protagonist simply wanders off and continues his journey.
Navi the Fairy
Navi the Fairy from “The Ocarina of Time” is always there for Link but mysteriously vanishes after Ganondorf is defeated. Series creator Shigeru Miyamoto stated that Navi was “jealous of Zelda” and developed feelings for Link throughout their adventure, but the hero never acknowledged her as anything more than a friend.
