Modern Warfare 2: The Best Ways To Get Double XP Tokens

For well over a decade now, "Call of Duty" players have been competing to earn as much XP as possible. This is no different when it comes to "Modern Warfare 2." In this latest installment to the franchise, racking up XP can help you unlock weapons, upgrades, perks, and various attachments for the weapon you are currently holding.

Now, there are numerous ways one can rack up a bunch of XP points. Grinding for hours, playing special game modes, and using various farming techniques can all help you gain XP. However, there is one solution for earning fast XP that is much simpler than all of those methods. You can activate a double XP token. But first, in order to do so, you're going to need to actually find one of these coveted XP-boosting consumables, which is easier said than done. Thankfully, while they can be hard to find, doing so is far from impossible.

How to snag some easy double XP tokens

Double XP tokens are consumable items that typically last either 30 minutes or an hour. If you're desperate to find one, don't fret; there are plenty of opportunities to snag these special tokens. While you can purchase them through the select promotional items or with the special "Vault Edition" of the game, you can also get them by completing campaign missions.

Specifically, the following campaign missions award you a double XP token according to PCGamesN: Wetwork, Tradcraft, Close Air, Hardpoint, El Sin Nombre, Dark Water, and Hindsight. Per PCGamesN, the promotional items for purchase that offer double XP tokens include products from Mountain Dew, Little Caesars, Burger King, and Jack Links.

Odds are that you're going to be buying snacks and completing campaign missions anyway. So, while you do those things, make sure you grab those tokens along the way. After all, when it comes to a game as popular as "Modern Warfare 2," you're going to need every possible advantage to get a leg up on the competition.
