Markiplier Fans Hold Out Hope For Five Nights At Freddy's Movie Cameo

Markiplier and "Five Nights At Freddy's" go way back. Some of the YouTuber's most popular "Let's Play" videos have involved the franchise in some way, and Markiplier has been getting jump-scared by Freddy Fazbear and the gang for years. When a "Five Nights At Freddy's" film adaptation was announced by Blumhouse Productions, fans of the YouTuber immediately expressed their hopes that he would make an appearance of some kind in the movie.

That's why all eyes have turned to a recent interview with Variety, during which Markiplier discussed his current and upcoming projects. When asked about his possible participation in the "FNAF" movie, Markiplier had a bit of a confusing reply: "Everyone wants to know, there was a lot of confusion. Yeah, I can't say anything particular about that. There was a lot of scheduling conflict. And I can't say anything."

This could be taken a number of ways. On the one hand, he could be saying that his schedule has prevented him from taking part in the movie. On the other, Markiplier could be saying that his schedule is still up in the air, but there's a chance he could still find his way into the film, so he's unable to answer for certain. Whatever the case, the ambiguity of Markiplier's response has not deterred fans too much, and many of his followers have expressed their hope that he is truly involved in the "Five Nights At Freddy's" adaptation.

Markiplier vs. Freddy? Fans hope so

Despite the inconclusive wording in Markiplier's Variety interview (or perhaps because of it), fans on Twitter have not given up on the idea of Markiplier appearing in the "Five Night's At Freddy's" movie. The interview has been shared widely on Twitter, with some fans taking Markiplier's vague answer as a sign that he's trying to throw people off the scent, and that he really is in the movie. Others have taken to sharing their dream cast for the film, which includes other YouTubers.

Some fans have continued hunting for proof of his involvement, with even Mark's selfies featuring straightened hair serving as enough for some people.

Of course, Markiplier is in the middle of making a movie of his own, so it's entirely possible he's too busy to take on a role in the "FNAF" adaptation. Details are still scarce regarding the film's production, although fans know that it stars Matthew Lillard and Josh Hutcherson and is being directed by Emma Tammi. Markiplier subscribers will simply have to keep an eye out as filming for "Five Night's At Freddy's" nears completion. Maybe the YouTuber will still have an opportunity to give fans a jump-scare on the big screen.
