This new collaboration pulls the one-punching hero Saitama and his friends from the world of "One-Punch Man" and into "Overwatch 2." But this event looks much different than those featured in the collaboration-heavy "Fortnite."
Instead of slapping another franchise's character models into the game resulting in scenarios where Darth Vader fights Ariana Grande, Blizzard took a different approach. This collaboration has a few "Overwatch 2" cast members cosplaying as "One-Punch Man" characters. Doomfist, of course, plays the role of Saitama, sporting the iconic yellow jumpsuit and cape. Additionally, the role of the cyborg Genos goes to Genji, which won't come as a surprise. But how can players grab these items before the event concludes on April 6? Complete challenges and make store purchases
It seems Blizzard has taken some of its monetization backlash to heart and made a handful of "Overwatch 2 x One-Punch Man" items available to players for free. This includes a Legendary Munmen Rider Skin for Soldier 76. However, these rewards do require gamers to complete challenges. Thankfully, for this event, the challenges only require players to complete matches. The rewards below unlock based on the corresponding number of games listed:
- 4: Saitama's Fist Weapon Charm
- 8: Mumen Rider Name Card
- 12: Cyclist of Justice Victory Pose for Soldier: 76
- 16: Justice Crash Highlight Intro for Soldier: 76
- 20: Boros Weapon Charm
- 24: Legendary Mumen Rider-Soldier: 76 skin
Players will need to shell out some cash to pick up the rest of the cosmetics. Gamers can acquire the Doomfist x Saitama Bundle, which includes the legendary skin, an emote, Voice Line, and Highlight Intro, for 2500 Overwatch Coins. The Genji x Genos Bundle includes the Legendary Genos skin and a Name Card for 1900 Overwatch Coins. The Kiriko x Terrible Tornado Bundle sells for 2100 Overwatch Coins and includes the Terrible Tornado Legendary skin, a Victory Pose, and a Name Card. And finally, the One-Punch Man Mega Bundle sells for 4400 Overwatch Coins and includes all of the previously listed rewards.
