Amazon Is Selling Cheap Xbox One Controllers And Adapters Right Now
The Xbox One controller is a Microsoft product. Windows is a Microsoft product. Therefore, if you're a PC gamer, it's tough to find a better gamepad for your rig. And you'll almost never find Xbox One controllers cheaper than you will today on Amazon.
For a mere $43.67, you can get a plain black Xbox One controller that'll be perfect for those intense Rocket League matches. Or, for just a few pennies more ($44.99), you can get a black Xbox One controller and one of Microsoft's wireless adapters for Windows 10. What's the wireless adapter do? It essentially lets your Xbox One controller communicate with your PC the same way it would with an Xbox One, which means you don't need to pair it via Bluetooth, and you can connect a headset to the controller and hear both audio and chat. It's glorious, and for an accessory that regularly retails for around $25, getting it with a controller at such a cheap price is an absolute steal.
Of course, you could also buy the Xbox One controller for use with an Xbox One. Or pick one up with the hopes of connecting it to Google Stadia sometime in the future.Those are options, as well.
And you can rest assured that your purchase will be future-proof once Microsoft's Project Scarlett launches next year. Microsoft confirmed that Xbox One accessories will work with Project Scarlett, which means any controllers or headsets you have lying around won't suddenly become obsolete when Microsoft releases its new hardware. It's a pretty amazing deal in light of how ridiculous controller prices can be across the board, and there's no telling how long the discount will remain in effect. So if you're in the market for a new controller — whether for use with your PC, Xbox One, Stadia, Scarlett, or what have you — you might want to strike while the iron's hot.
