Borderlands 3: How To Move Faster On Foot

If there's one thing every Borderlands 3 player can relate to, it's that mundane feeling of running from point A to point B. Maybe you're backtracking for that one Typhon Log or Dead Claptrap location, or maybe you wanted to drop off some loot at Sanctuary. Nonetheless, for every bullet you fire, you'll take twice as many steps.

The vehicles provide all sorts of options for getting around the giant, open spaces, but once you're on foot, all you have is a sprint button. Unfortunately, it can only do so much.

If you're playing as Amara, however, there's a quick and easy way to get around faster. Check out her Brawl skill tree. The star ability here is Mindfulness. Every time you get hit, you'll get a stack of Mindfulness. For every stack, you'll get improved shield-regeneration delay and movement speed, and it can stack up to 25 times. At its third (and max) rank, you'll get 4.2% movement speed per stack. At full stacks, that more than doubles your speed.

The ability helps close the gap in battle, but you can use it for yourself, too. Keep an elemental Torgue weapon in one of your weapon slots. When you need a boost, just shoot your feet until you contract a status effect (burn, corrosion, and radiation are great for this). Every time that effect ticks away at your shield or health, you'll earn a stack of Mindfulness.

Of course, this means you'll need to worry about shields and health a little more, but Amara's inherent tankiness makes this a non-issue. Now, you can run from battle to battle in a flash, leaving your co-op allies in the dust.
