How Long Does It Take To Beat Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered?

Imagine a game that features the voices and likenesses of the original Ghostbusters crew, and includes a story written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis. Sounds great, does it? What if we told you that game already came out? It did, back in 2009 as Ghostbusters: The Video Game. Now we're getting a remastered version of that title, and if you're someone who never experienced the original, you may be wondering: how long does it take to beat Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered?

The answer is, just about the same amount of time you'd spend playing the 2009 version.

For most players, the main story campaign in Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered will take approximately 8 hours to complete. That's about one day of serious dedication (and not much getting up out of your chair) or a few days of casual play.

But like most video games, Ghostbusters Remastered adds in some extra things to do in an effort to prolong the experience. If you play through the main story mode and do a few side activities, you could spend around 10 hours with the game. But if you want to go all-in and complete every single facet of the game in its entirety, you'll likely be playing Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered for roughly 31 hours.

That should be enough time for you to get your money's worth out of the game, which is priced at $30 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. But if you have a worthy PC, you might want to pop over to the Epic Games Store and buy Ghostbusters Remastered there, instead. It's priced at just $11.99, and your guess is as good as ours why PC players are getting such a huge discount.

At any rate, Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered is out today on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. If you never played the original when it came out over a decade ago, or if you want to feel a bit of nostalgia, it might be worth a look.
