Panzer Dragoon: Remake Will Get A Physical Edition

Physical games aren't dead yet, according to Forever Entertainment. The company behind Panzer Dragoon: Remake announced that, along with a digital edition, collectors will be able to get their physical, real life hands on a physical, real life copy of the game this winter. The announcement made on Twitter was met with a whole lot of congratulatory gifs from gamers who appreciate the more tactile things in life.

Forever Entertainment got fans giddy with nostalgia back in December of 2018 when they announced the game alongside Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake, which will release sometime later.

The company has sworn to stay true to the original game while also adding several upgrades, including enhanced graphics and improved controls. The graphics will aim to make the game appear more modern. And the updated controls will, hopefully, make the game more palatable for the modern gamer (not all of us have played on a Sega Saturn, after all).

Does this port sound like something that might interest you? Panzer Dragoon: Remake is coming to the Switch in December, and from what we've seen of the gameplay, it looks good. Really good. The Nintendo Switch recently blew everyone's minds by pulling off a graphically gorgeous port of The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, so we're not surprised that it is handling a Panzer Dragoon remake like a dream.

Not a fan of the Switch? Don't worry, there may be more news coming soon about additional ports. Or at least, that's what it seems like. The game's official Twitter has been continually addressing questions about other platforms with cryptic replies like, "More info coming soon," and "We never said it's Switch-exclusive."

Both of those responses, by the way, came paired with smiley faces. What do these mysterious grins mean? We'll clue you in as soon as we find out.

Panzer Dragoon: Remake is set to release in 2019, but still doesn't have a solid release date.
