How Long Does It Take To Beat Yakuza 4?
The Yakuza series has caught fire in recent years, prompting Sega to slowly but surely bring past entries forward. We recently got a remaster of Yakuza 4 on the PlayStation 4, and if you're brand new to the franchise, you may be asking: how long does Yakuza 4 take to beat?
Fortunately, because the game already came out on the PlayStation 3, this is a very easy question to answer.
According to the website How Long to Beat, the main story campaign of Yakuza 4 takes somewhere between 23 and 24 hours to complete. This covers a straight line, start to finish playthrough of the story, without engaging in any shenanigans on the side.
Of course, you might not play any game that way. You may intend to quickly finish the campaign, but find yourself distracted by a shiny object here or there. For those kinds of playthroughs — called "Main + Extras" on How Long to Beat — you're looking at between 44 and 45 hours.
And then there's the completionist route. Do you want to do everything the game has to offer, and search every nook and cranny for everything you can possibly find? If that sounds like you, a full completionist playthrough of Yakuza 4 will take you between 97 and 98 hours to finish.
Long story short, there's a lot of game here if you're willing to put in the time.
Yakuza 4 is part of a bundle called The Yakuza Collection on PS4, and as of now, both Yakuza 3 and Yakuza 4 have been released. Those interested can look forward to picking up Yakuza 5 on Feb. 11, 2020. Unfortunately, it does not seem as though you can purchase the games separately. You'll have to go for the whole package, which sells on the PlayStation Store for $59.99.
