Spoilers! Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order Ending Ruined By New Trailer

Spoiler alert: the newest advertisement showing off EA's Star Wars: Jedi – Fallen Order ruins one of the game's biggest surprises. Not cool. The Black Friday trailer packs action, adventure, and a huge reveal into just 30 seconds. Read no further, young Padawan, unless you want to know what secrets the ad unceremoniously reveals.

You know who has fun slaying Jedi? Darth Vader. Surely, ending the adventures of Cal Kestis, the blossoming young almost-Jedi who serves as Fallen Order's protagonist, would interest him. While we know our main baddie is the dour Second Sister, an Inquisitor charged by the Empire with hunting down the remaining Jedi, the new trailer confirms that yes, Cal has a deadly run in with none other than Sith Lord Darth Vader himself.

For reference, Star Wars: Jedi – Fallen Order takes place before A New Hope introduces the galaxy to fan favorite characters like Luke, Leia, and (ancient spoiler) their dark daddy Darth Vader. The game hosts a few familiar faces, like Rogue One's Saw Gerarra (Forest Whitaker), but because of Fallen Order's place in the canonical Star Wars timeline, we weren't sure whether it would feature cameos from other film figures. Fallen Order follows Cal, a new character who escaped the infamous Order 66 that purged the galaxy of Jedi.

20 seconds into the Black Friday trailer, we get a good look at Darth Vader. Respawn teased his inclusion, and his high stakes battle with Cal, in the Cal's Mission trailer back in September, but only those who managed to make it through the game knew whether he actually appeared in the narrative. Now, anyone accidentally subjected to this ad will know Star Wars: Jedi – Fallen Order secretly harbors a Darth Vader fight. Thanks, EA
