Fan Helps Destiny Boss Jump On The 'Baby' Bandwagon

"You've seen baby Yoda, but what about baby Crota?" asked Reddit user NoThruTrucks. Now, thanks to a disturbingly adorable piece of art, one of Destiny's most famous raid bosses has become the latest character to join the "Baby" craze.

The image actually pays more homage to the source material than, say, Baby Sonic. In fact, much of the original Mandalorian logo is used to imagine a new piece of fictional programming called The Guardian. It features one of Destiny's Guardians looking very much like the Mandalorian himself, and while said Guardian looks pretty awesome, he's obviously not the star of the show.

That honor belongs to Baby Crota.

You might be surprised to learn there are some similarities between The Child (or "Baby Yoda," as he's known) and Crota. Both come from ancient space-faring races. Both those races are capable of living for a very long time. Both characters are green. And come on — Baby Crota rhymes with Baby Yoda. It's perfect.

While we have absolutely no shot at seeing this happen – Destiny's surprisingly intricate lore wouldn't allow for Crota to be a child protected by a Guardian — it is possible Destiny could make it to television someday. A story from The Hollywood Reporter states that developer Bungie is definitely open to the idea.

"Anything is possible," said Robbie Stevens, a creative lead at the studio. "One of the advantages of Bungie fully owning the Destiny IP is that we have the freedom to make those choices whenever we think the time is right. That's all I can say about it."

We'll have to cross our fingers that The Guardian eventually becomes a reality. Unfortunately, the Baby Crota character will have to live in our imaginations.
