South Park Season 29 Episode Features GTA 6 Gameplay With A Disgusting Twist
Ever since the release of the final trailer for "Grand Theft Auto 6," Rockstar Games has ground the marketing for its newest game to a halt. While some real-life promotions are happening in Miami, Florida, Rockstar seems content to let "GTA 6" speak for itself when it launches on November 19, 2026. However, one final piece of marketing recently popped up in one place where no one thought it would.
In the newest episode of the comedy TV show "South Park," which has been temporarily rebranded as "South America," some never-before-seen gameplay of "GTA 6" is on display. The gameplay footage isn't anything revolutionary, but Rockstar's goal with this marketing stunt was likely to drum up even more buzz. At the very least, the footage continues to show just how in-depth the game is, even if that means players have to get their hands a little dirty to experience everything "GTA 6" has to offer.
In the new episode, called "Guinea Pig on a Stick," there's a small portion that shows the main characters in the show gathered around a table to receive an in-person presentation of footage from the game. On a television screen behind her, the presenter showcases real gameplay from "GTA 6" and hypes up its realism.

While you might be expecting a car chase with police or some kind of drug-related mission to be on display, that's not the case whatsoever. Instead, the presenter shows a scene from Vice City Beach with a dog evacuating its bowels right on the sand and its owner picking it up with a plastic bag. Seeing this, protagonist Jason Duval follows the NPC with the dog and throws something at the back of their head. With the NPC distracted, Jason then picks up the bag of dog poop and promptly slaps the NPC in the face with the bag, making it explode in a violent, smelly mess.

Of course, this gameplay pales in comparison to what we've previously seen with "GTA 6," especially in the Netflix Extended Look showcase. At this point, though, the community is likely happy with any new footage that Rockstar shows between now and the game's launch.
Fans originally thought this was another gag by the creators of "South Park," since "GTA 6" has been mentioned frequently in the current season. However, the latest episode's credits specifically say "Grand Theft Auto VI footage courtesy of Rockstar Games," so this looks to be an official piece of marketing by Rockstar, and the dog poop-throwing mechanic will be fully available to players in "GTA 6."
This isn't the first time "South Park" has referenced a new game release by Rockstar. Back in 2018, the show parodied multiple storylines from "Red Dead Redemption 2" shortly after its launch and even showed Cartman buying a copy in a store, using the actual game's cover. However, in the case of "Red Dead Redemption 2," Rockstar didn't officially partner with South Park. Instead, the showrunners showcased the game under the fair use doctrine, which they've done with several other games throughout "South Park" history.
