Is The Day Before Coming To PS5 Or Xbox Series X?

"The Day Before" is an upcoming survival game set in a post-pandemic America, where infected people roam the streets. "The Day Before" takes ideas from games like "DayZ," "The Last of Us," and "The Division," and blends them into its own unique multiplayer environment. The game is being developed by Fntastic and published by MyTona, two lesser-known studios.

While the game looks promising, some concerned gamers have found the visuals from the trailer to be a bit too impressive for the unknown developer. The first trailer for "The Day Before" dropped in early 2021, showing off the game's high fidelity and some gameplay.

The description of the video provides a few more details for the game, including the fact that it is an "open-world MMO" and that players will be killing each other for food, weapons, and cars." What it doesn't explain is whether or not the game will be making its way to consoles. The graphics in the trailer certainly seem next-gen, so what's the deal?

PS5 and Xbox Series X are on the table, but not confirmed

As it stands, "The Day Before" is available to be wish listed on Steam, with the release date marked as "Coming Soon," and Fntastic has said it is targeting 2021. Aside from this, Fntastic has not made any official announcements about the MMO coming to consoles. However, that possibility has been teased in a couple interviews.

Talking to GamingBolt, Fntastic co-founders Ed Gotovtsev and Aisen Gotovtsev gave a tongue-in-cheek answer to questions of the game making its way to consoles. They said that while the game can't be run on the Nintendo Entertainment System, they are "considering next-gen consoles." However, they also said that people should "wait for a special announcement."

The duo gave an identical answer to other outlets, so it seems like the studio isn't quite ready to make that announcement. They did say during the interview that the game will have a pre-release beta, but it will be very limited in size. It seems as though it might be a while before "The Day Before" makes it way to consoles, if it does at all.
